The short version
Cadence is a private self-care archive built for one person: you. Your information is used only to run the app for you. We don't sell it, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't use it to build profiles.
What we store
- Your account — email address and a securely hashed password.
- What you put in — appointments, supplements, skincare routines and products, maintenance cadences, event prep, Invisalign progress, and your daily check-ins (skin, mood, energy, sleep, notes).
- Progress photos — if you add them, your skin and progress photos are stored to show your before-and-afters. They're yours; you can delete them at any time and we never use them to identify you or for advertising.
- Optional email connection — if you connect Gmail or forward confirmation emails, we read those messages only to suggest appointments. You can disconnect at any time.
AI features
Some features use AI to help you — looking up a product, building a routine, suggesting how to use something, and the in-app assistant. To do that, the specific text you give those features (for example a product name, your shelf, or a question) is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response, and forwarded emails are processed to suggest appointments. We don't use these services for advertising or to train models on your data, and we don't store your assistant conversations on our servers. AI can be wrong and is not medical advice.
Health-adjacent information
Some of what you track (supplements, Invisalign, mood and sleep) is personal and health-adjacent. We treat it as sensitive: it is stored to provide the app's features to you and is never sold or used for advertising.
On-device settings & Face ID / Touch ID
If you use the iPhone or Android app, your app-lock and reminder preferences are stored on your device, and reminders are scheduled locally on your phone — they aren't sent to our servers. App-lock uses your phone's built-in Face ID / Touch ID: your device confirms it's you and tells the app yes or no. Cadence never receives or stores your face or fingerprint data.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in the app's database and hosting provider solely to operate Cadence. We use no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. We may use an error-monitoring service to keep the app working; it receives technical diagnostics, not your self-care entries.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your entries in the app at any time. To export or permanently delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@careinrhythm.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
Cadence is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
